The Rattlers were celebrating Senior Day in their last game in Bragg Memorial Stadium.

For the first time, Florida A&M head coach Joe Taylor and North Carolina A&T's Rod Broadway faced each other as head coaches as the Rattlers clinched a win over the Aggies on Saturday.

The Aggies built a 13-0 lead as running back Mike Mayhew scored two touchdowns early in the game. Dominique Drake scored the Aggies' final touchdown of the game with a 9-yard run, resulting in a 20-6 lead after capitalizing on a 65-yard drive down the field.

Receiver Kevin Elliott walked away with a pair of touchdown catches that allowed for a cushion lead midway through the game.

Elliott's first trip to the end zone was the result of a 63-yard reception thrown from freshman quarterback Damien Fleming.

The second touchdown pass of the game was during the second quarter when Fleming threw a 10-yard pass to Elliott, trimming the Aggies lead 20-14.

The Rattlers' kicker Trevor Scott nailed a pair of field goals from 41 and 42 yards out that knotted the game at 20-20 going into the half.

During the second half, he connected on two more field goals one of those was in the fourth quarter from 33-yards out, which later resulted in the Rattlers win over the Aggies.

FAMU (6-3, 4-2 MEAC) was paced by Eddie Rocker, who rushed for the century mark for the first time of the season. He rushed for 107 yards on 12 carries. His longest rush was a 59-yard scamper.

Brian Tyms had five catches for 88 yards, while Elliott led the receivers with 96 yards on three catches. Devan Robert led the FAMU defense as he finished with a game high of 11 tackles, followed by Nicolas Hollinghead with seven tackles.

North Carolina A&T (4-5, 3-3 MEAC) is led by the conference's lead rusher, who gained 80 yards against the Rattlers on 22 carries with a pair of touch downs.

Quarterback Lewis Kindle passed for 246 yards, completing 19-of-26 passes with two interceptions as the Aggies signal caller. Still, that wasn't enough to outshine the FAMU Rattlers from picking up their seventh straight win over the Aggies on Saturday.

The team's next game is against North Carolina Central on Saturday.

Child Sexual Predators

Working on my package of child sexual predators was an experience to say the least.  On numerous occasions I was stopped by the police because of filming schools and children.  Besides that, the information I gained from my interviews were more than insightful and eye opening.  Sgt. Norville really put in perspective the threats that children face via the internet by sexual predators.
At the beginning of the week I didn't really know what route I wanted to take but with the high participation in social media by all ages it seemed like bringing to light the problems with internet problems would be a way for parents to take that first step in having effective communication with their children to prevent such a thing from occurring.
I learned that all child sexual offenders must register and have to be watched closely by law personnel once released from their sentence.  This really allowed me to grasp how important it is to be aware of people in our neighborhoods as well as who we communicate with on the internet.  All in all, it was a great experience and the statistics were by far shocking but a part of the harsh reality children face everyday.

Working Age Adults in Florida

While working on my package of "Working Age Adults in Florida" I learned a lot about the programs that Tallahassee has to offer for young professionals in the job market.  Access Tallahassee for instance offers countless opportunities such as speed networking, bussiness seminars, and power lunches.  It's clear that more working age adults are migrating to Florida in hopes of finding employment but holding on to a job seems to be a constant stuggle.
With a higher rate of seniors living in Florida only for retirement, the job market is experiencing a change and the working class is eager to be discovered.  With programs like Access Tallahassee companies get the chance to build genuine relationships.
Overall, working on this package provided me with a lot of useful knowledge for when I graduate.  There is a large talent pool to choose from and business owners seek out the best workers.  You can't wait for employers to find you, you have to go after what you want and use the resources available.
